DLYT "Smile" Software Simulation

Based on a hexagonal coordinate system which is well suited to fluidly moving objects, the software was written to visually determine how to best define the evolution of the roamers as they move through the array of nodes.

As the simulation starts, the roamers begin in a dormant state and turn on slowly. As they enter the same hexagonal coordinate, they evolve in different ways, depending on their current behavior and the number of roamers in the vicinity. As it progresses this continues with different behaviours that change in an escalating fashion.

This is a simulation for our own testing purposes and never meant to be as visually engaging as the real thing. Still, there's something hypnotic about the evolution that will be exciting to see in a 40 metre square outdoor area with a crowd filling the space.
